Good Vibrations Vibrator Museum
Joani Blank, the founder of San Francisco's female-friendly
sex shop Good Vibrations, is also a collector of antique vibrators.
Over 20 years she has built up an extensive collection of buzzy
things from the past, dating from the late 1800s up to the 1970s.
The majority were considered to be health items, used by medical
professionals to treat "hysteria". Even now vibrators
aren't officially sold as sex toys - they're either "massagers"
or "novelties".
The Vibrator Museum website contains photos and
very brief descriptions of each device. Occasionally the items are
physically displayed at the Good Vibrations stores.

Museum of Menstruation
Artist Harry Finley first had the idea for a museum about menstruation
while working as an art director in Germany. Intrigued by various
historical advertisements for menstrual products, he decided to
create the first museum devoted to the subject. With much difficulty
- and a lot of incredulity from others - he set about collecting
various items related to menstruation, such as pads, tampons, cups,
menstrual aprons and special underpants, along with advertising
and written material.
Harry originally operated a physical exhibition of his collection
in the basement of his house, but decided to move his museum online
to save himself stress. He hopes one day to create a public museum
for the collection.
The Museum of Menstruation offers a variety of photos and scans,
along with detailed articles on the topic. There's also some interesting
letters and feedback pages.

World History of Male Love
This museum is part of a larger site celebrating the history of
male homosexuality across all cultures. Aside from numerous articles
and a bulletin board, this site features photos of homoerotic artwork,
both ancient and modern.
The museum section is divided according to culture - Greek, Roman,
Islamic and so on. The galleries offer examples of drawings, paintings
and sculpture depicting man-on-man love. Who knew that Leonardo
da Vinci drew an angel with a raging erection?

AMEA / World Museum of Erotic Art
Run by a group of Dutch artists, this website is a treasure trove
of erotic painting, drawing and engraving. Artists featured include
Paul-Emile Bécat, Félicien Rops and Henri Toulouse-Lautrec,
along with themed galleries such as "the use of candles in
erotic art".
The online collection isn't huge, but it's all pretty fascinating.
The site also features message boards and member galleries.
